Joining our club requires membership of Loughborough Students’ Union. All university and college students should receive their Union membership upon arrival in Loughborough, but non-students wishing to join, such as alumni or local residents, will have to purchase affiliate memberships from the Union beforehand. Alumni (former Loughborough students) can purchase life membership for a fee of £15. Associate membership, a requirement for members who are neither students nor alumni, costs £20. Both can be purchased using the links on the LSU Memberships webpage.
Once you have purchased/been given your Union membership, you will need to sign into the LSU website using the login tab at the top right of the page, with the details which the Union should have provided you with. After logging in, navigate to our Shaolin Kung Fu Union webpage and click the ‘add to basket’ button at the very bottom of the page. This should refresh the page, and display a shopping cart panel at the top of the page. Clicking ‘Review Basket’ from this panel will take you to your online basket where you will also be asked to purchase an ‘Athletic Union Standard Membership’ in addition to Shaolin Kung Fu membership. AU membership is a requirement for all AU-affiliated societies (i.e. sports clubs), but only needs to be purchased once per year regardless of how many clubs you join. Once the AU membership has been added the option to ‘Proceed to Checkout’ will appear at the bottom, click this to continue to payment. From there follow the onscreen instructions to make the payment, and you will receive a confirmation email shortly thereafter.
