Next Wednesday Shaolin Kung Fu will be hosting another FREE self-defence workshop, taking place from 3-5pm.
This time the class is going to be open to EVERYONE so please invite all your friends to come along and try it out. Members are also encouraged to come along as we’ll be needing helpers and you might just learn a thing or two. Training will resume from 5pm-6pm, but beware, if you don’t come for the self-defence session you may not be allowed to join in for the last hour of training (afterall, you have just missed 2 hours of training), so try your best to attend the full 3 hours.
If you’d like anymore details please speak to one of the committee, before or after training, or email lufbrakungfu@googlemail.com.

This year’s AGM will be taking place this Sunday to vote in the new committee. It will be held in the Council Chambers, in the union, immediately after training.
Attendancy is compulsory for all members! You should all be at training anyway, so no excuses
. Candidates will give a short speech about why they think they’re best suited for the job and their plans for the upcoming year. This is an important time for the club so it’s vital that we get as many members attending as possible. If you wish to run for committee you will need to collect the forms from Becca as soon as possible. Good Luck to all the candidates!!
If you’d like anymore details please speak to one of the committee, before or after training, or email lufbrakungfu@googlemail.com.

Hello all, hope everyone’s Christmas/New Year went well.
Each year the Athletic Union hosts a week-long ‘Healthy Living’ event aimed at promoting physical activity among the student population, and this year we are going to help out by hosting a one-off taster session for people participating in the scheme, during our regular training slot on Monday 1st February at 6-8pm, in the Taekwondo Centre (above Powerbase). If you are taking part in the healthy living week (regardless of whether you are a member of our club or not) you can collect a stamp for attending this session which, along with stamps collected from other activities, goes towards earning yourself some stash from the AU.
Our session will definitely be pitched at beginners’ level, so if you’re new to martial arts there’s no need to worry about being in over your head. If you’re a current club member, try to get some of your coursemates or housemates to come and give it a go. We still have a few membership spaces available, so if anyone who comes along likes what we do there is the chance for them to join up and train more regularly. For anyone interested in coming along, the usual advice is to wear loose, light clothing and bring some water. Plenty of other information can be found by checking the other pages on this site (see Essential Info and New Members!)
Thanks folks, hope to see you in training soon.
